Beyond Catering: Meet The Board Experience, Our Interactive Team-Building Workshop

Most people know Graze Craze Okemos for our charcuterie boards, grazing tables, and event catering. But did you know we've taken our love of bringing people together around food a step further?

Meet The Board Experience, an interactive, professionally facilitated team-building workshop that uses charcuterie challenges to explore communication, collaboration, creativity, and teamwork.

It's a little unexpected, a lot of fun, and there's more to it than making a beautiful board.

Team Building That Goes Beyond the Ordinary

We've all attended team-building events. Some are memorable. Others feel like another meeting on the calendar.

We wanted to create something different.

The Board Experience brings teams together for a hands-on workshop where participants work through a series of creative challenges, solve problems, communicate, and collaborate, all while working with delicious charcuterie ingredients.

There's no PowerPoint presentation or sitting around a conference table for two hours. Participants are actively involved from beginning to end.

And yes, everyone gets to enjoy the food!

What Happens During The Board Experience?

The workshop combines three guided activities over two hours with opportunities for teams to practice skills they use every day at work.

Throughout the workshop, professional facilitators help participants connect what happens during the activities to real workplace dynamics.

The result is an experience that's entertaining, engaging, and designed to spark meaningful conversations.

A Fresh Approach to Corporate Team Building in Michigan

The Board Experience is designed for businesses and organizations looking for something beyond the typical team outing.

It's a great fit for leadership teams, department meetings, employee appreciation events, team retreats, and organizations bringing colleagues together for strategic planning.

We work with groups of approximately 6 to 20 participants and offer customizable experiences to fit different team goals.

With local professional facilitators like Lisa Fisher, and the ability to travel throughout Michigan, The Board Experience can be brought to organizations in Greater Lansing, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and communities across the state.

Created from Our Love of Bringing People Together

At Graze Craze Okemos, we've always believed that great food has a way of bringing people together.

Over the years, we've catered countless corporate meetings, celebrations, and employee events. The Board Experience grew from that same appreciation for connection, with a new twist: instead of simply gathering around the food, participants create something together.

It's been rewarding to watch teams laugh, collaborate, discover new things about their coworkers, and walk away with shared experiences they can talk about long after the workshop ends.

Planning Your Next Team Event?
